Thank you for your interest in our 2013 Making A Difference for Women Awards Afternoon Forum. This event is filled to capacity and registration is now closed. If you would like to be contacted about NCRW events in the future, please email ncrw@regender.org.

The National Council for Research on Women and NYU Wagner's Research Center for Leadership in Action invite you to a panel discussion, Leading to Economic Security, that will explore the crucial linkages between strengthening women's leadership and building greater economic security for America's vulnerable communities. Drawing on current research and best practices, the speakers will discuss current barriers to increasing the numbers of women in leadership and assess strategies to build a critical mass of women in decision-making positions at all levels.

Panelists will identify sustainable solutions to address women's poverty and offer recommendations on how important stakeholders - academia, nonprofit, business, media, and others - can work together to advance two key priorities: increasing women's leadership and reducing poverty faced by millions of women and their families. The discussion with the audience, following remarks by the speakers, will focus on how leadership and economic security are essential for greater gender equality in the United States and elsewhere.
