Connecting the Dots: Philanthropy, Social Entrepreneurship and Activism

May 27, 2009 posted by admin

Turbulence in the financial markets has exacerbated the uncertainty of non-profit sustainability. What is happening to private foundations and their giving as a result of the crisis and increased government ownership and oversight?  What is the role of investments by women’s funds and others in creating an agenda for equity and justice?

Experts from the field will address these and numerous other relation issues at NCRW’s Annual Conference.  Join Sara Gould, Ms. Foundation; Maria Torres, NYC Economic Development Corporation; Richard Brown, American Express; Janelle Shubert, Babson College and Ana Oliveira, New York Women’s Foundation as they discuss how philanthropic priorities and social investments are being made during the current economic recession. We welcome you to submit your questions and comments for our panelists before the conference. See you in June!
