Recruiting and retaining a work force that is diverse in gender, race and other markers of difference provides businesses and organizations with innovative ideas and a competitive edge. Diversity provides a significant advantage in competing for clients, customers and suppliers in today’s global marketplace. NCRW is supporting diversity efforts by recommending best practices for recruiting, retaining and advancing the careers of women, particularly women of color. This research extends to examining the benefits of diversity in leadership and how women’s participation improves decision-making. NCRW is helping companies to assess their workplace environments and identify barriers to inclusion: from practices, to policies, to the informal culture of organizations. NCRW’s Corporate Circle supports companies in their efforts to strengthen and advance policies that boost diversity and inclusion.

The smartest route to purchase or sell a home is to do so with the assistance of a professional. Real Estate Agent's careers are given to making buyers and sellers get the most of their purchase or sale. They are there to verify you are not being made the most of on both ends of your turn. Not just would you be able to reasonably be swindled into selling your home for less than its honest esteem, but you are able to be swindled into purchasing a home that is overpriced. A real estate agent is well versed on the business, can draw up papers and help you understand your purchase, and is there to ensure you from getting the short finish of a bargain. With your home being such a substantial investment, it is critical that you try not to settle on any sporadic decisions. Of course, that is why a Real estate agent is there to secure you from settling on abject choices under pressure.

Built by Women

Built By Women is a tribute to the history of women and the buildings and sites they have created.

Women of 20th – Century American Architecture Collection

Will preserve–with the support of a matching grant from the National Endowment for the Arts–the legacies of the pioneering women who shaped the built environment, housed in the online database, Dynamic National Archive (DNA), with over 1200 names covering all 50 states.

Educating the Public
Museum Programs–creating public conversations–previously at The Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, recently at the Detroit Institute of Art and annually with the National Building Museum, Washington, D.C.
Films & Tours
Creating educational resources and onsite experiences about women and the ways they have contributed to shaping our built environment. Films include “A Girl Is A Fellow Here”: 100 Women Architects in the Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright (2009); and BWAF support for “Radiant Sun: Designer Ruth Adler Schnee,” and “EAMES: The Architect and The Painter,” 2012 Peabody Award winner.
A program comprised of principals or partners of some of the world’s largest architecture, engineering and construction firms selected by the Foundation to develop strategies to improve advancement of women leaders in the building industry.

The State of Women of Color in the United States

Issue brief from the Center for American Progress:

This issue brief examines the state of women of color in the United States at large in regards to four key areas: the workplace wage gap, health, educational attainment, and political leadership. While conversations in the mainstream media would suggest that women of color are a monolithic entity, it is important to note that women of color are a diverse group with a variety of experiences. We offer specific data points on various racial and ethnic groups where available as we present the issues of greatest importance to women of color today, but remember that data are not always available for direct comparisons of different groups of women of color compared to their white counterparts.
