Deborah Slaner Larkin is the former Executive Director of USTA Serves, the US Tennis Association’s philanthropic and charitable initiative to support, monitor, and promote programs that enhance the lives of disadvantaged children through the integration of tennis and education. Previously, as Executive Director of the Women’s Sports Foundation, she was active in Title IX compliance work and continues to support it through an advocacy fund she created there; she also became a strong supporter of participation and leadership opportunities for women, endowing a chair in this area. She served on The White House Project board and co-managed, wrote, and edited The White House Project’s Benchmarking report; served on the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports; and chaired the Westchester Fund for Women and Girls. On the National Women’s Law Center board, she continues to work on Title IX and funds NWLC’s efforts to help girls achieve educational equity through the legal system. Deborah serves on the Board of Directors of the National Council for Research on Women. She received a BA from the University of Oregon and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
